A 14-year-old charged over the accidental fatal shooting of a nine-year-old boy near Goulburn has appeared in court for the first time.
The boy died on a rural property at Windellama on April 13 after suffering serious neck injuries, in what police say was a tragic accident.
Paramedics tried to save the boy but he died at the scene.

A day after his death, the teenage boy was charged with possessing an unauthorised firearm.
On Friday, his lawyer appeared in court via audio-visual link and entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf.
The boy, who remains on conditional bail, was seated next to her but was silent during the proceedings.
He will remain on conditional bail with the matter to return to court next month.
A 33-year-old also charged over the matter fronted the Goulburn Magistrates Court earlier this week where he also indicated pleas of not guilty to two offences.
