Go-Jo on stage with arms out, red scarf and blue jumpsuit with billowing smoke around him

Program: Australia's glittering history with Eurovision

Space to play or pause, M to mute, left and right arrows to seek, up and down arrows for volume.

It's been 10 years since Australia's Guy Sebastian took on Europe at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.

But we have a much longer love affair with the competition, Australia made its debut on the Eurovision stage in 1972 when two Australians - Peter Doyle and Marty Kristian - performed with the New Seekers for the UK, with their song Beg, Steal or Borrow.

Guest: Dr Dean Vuletic, historian of contemporary Europe and the author of the book: Postwar Europe and the Eurovision Song Contest
